The Wild Safari Train Expedition
Réservation obligatoire
A journey in tune with nature: discover Europe’s wildlife from the Safari Train
Embark on an adventure in search of Europe’s wildlife during a one-hour safari train ride at the Sainte-Croix Wildlife Park.
For about an hour, you’ll travel more than 3 kilometers through natural landscapes where many iconic European species roam. Forests, plains, ponds… each environment offers a new opportunity to observe the animals in their natural habitat.
Along the way, you’ll encounter wolves, deer, reindeer, aurochs, pelicans, Tarpan horses, and Scottish cows, all in vast spaces that closely resemble their natural habitats. It’s a wonderful way to gain a deeper understanding of the richness and diversity of European wildlife, all in a peaceful setting.
All aboard!
In winter, another adventure awaits you…
Note: Different route in winter
The Safari Train’s route changes in winter to accommodate the animals’ daily rhythms and the unique beauty of the snow-covered landscapes. But the sense of escape and the magic remain intact: a whole new side of European nature unfolds before your eyes.
In the Footsteps of Europe’s Animals
Your safari train takes you on a journey of over 3 km through the wildest open spaces of Sainte-Croix. Your nature guide will help you spot the park’s wildlife and reveal the secrets of the animals you encounter.
Allain Bougrain-Dubourg lends his voice to this nature experience and will serve as a guide of a different kind: a storyteller, sharing tales of hope. He will explain how nature is incredibly resilient and capable of regenerating itself, provided humans understand it, respect it, and give it the space it needs.
The expedition will also immerse you in the territory of European moose and reindeer, and take you to the heart of a vast conservation reserve where Przewalski’s horses and European bison coexist.
The creation of this reserve is part of a European breeding program aimed at reintroducing these species into the wild. Wolves, Scottish highland cattle, cormorants, pelicans, aurochs, Tarpan horses, and deer will round out this panorama of European wildlife, enriched by the variety of ecosystems encountered (forests, wetlands, vast plains…).
